Cheltenham golf club is located in Victoria's wonderful sandbelt golf region, just 30 minutes from the CBD.

A pocket of nature in an urban environment, the course is a haven for local birdlife and it's wonderful hills, fairways and greens are enjoyed by all.

Tee off from the 13th (the highest point in the locality) on one of those special days and you can see right over the bay.

The course is surrounded by open space, with Cheltenham Park, Cheltenham Football Ground and Victoria Golf Club as neighbours.

The course is designed to challenge the average golfer, while offering a full morning or afternoon of golfing pleasure on well-kept fairways and undulating greens.

Members of the public are most welcome to play the course and times are generally available before or after member's competitions.  Just remember, that like most other private golf clubs, a dress code applies on the course and in the clubhouse!

Juniors are welcome at the club, (in fact we're very proud of some of our Juniors who have gone on to "greater things") and we support Golf Victoria's My-Golf program for developing young people's golf skills.

The club currently has membership vacancies; with no joining fee the annual subscriptions are very attractive!  The clubhouse also has rooms available to hire for functions.

MEN'S PENNANT FINAL - INVITATION TO ALL

The committee and men's pennant team would like to offer all past and present club members, friends and the local community the opportunity to participate in an important milestone in the club's history on Sunday 20th May.

The men's pennant team will play the final match of the season against Latrobe Golf Club, with the winner taking home the 2012 VGA Division 3 mens pennant flag.

The venue is Peninsula Golf Club with the first match teeing off at 8.30 a.m.

The team has had many successes in division 3 this year and has already achieved a place in division 2 next year -  the very first time in the club's 82 year history.

Cheltenham Golf Club is renowned as a golfing incubator that has provided a pathway to international success.  So come along to Peninsula and at some time in the future you may be able to say "I watched that famous golfer playing Pennant for Cheltenham in 2012"

Cheltenham's mens pennant team played against Latrobe Golf Club at Royal Melbourne last week.  The results are below and more information is available in Pennant News.  No doubt LaTrobe will be desperately trying hard to win the flag.  We respect them as fierce competitors and fully expect a tough competition.

It should be very exciting.  Hope to see you there!
