Local Rules


To be read in conjunction with the Rules of Golf and any temporary local rules.

OUT OF BOUNDS
Ground level of white posts with black tops and all boundary fences.

STAKED TREES AND SHRUBS+
Relief MUST be taken. (Rule 24-2).

GUR
Relief MUST be taken (Rule 25).

SCREENS AND SUPPORT POLES
Screens and supports along LHS of 5th/14th fairway are an integral part of course. All other screens, support poles and non-boundary fences are immovable obstructions.

WOODEN POLES AND FENCES
Wooden fence behind 8th/17th green, pine bollards in front of 8th/17th tee and pine bollards behind 9th/18th green are immovable obstructions.

GARDEN BEDS
Garden bed adjacent to 1st tee and 3rd tee (Parklands) are GUR – relief must be taken. All other garden beds are an integral part of the course.

SPRINKLERS AND HOSES
Sprinklers and hoses cannot be stopped or moved. Relief may be taken.
Sprinkler heads within 2 club lengths of green – relief may be taken. Ball must lie within 2 club lengths of sprinkler. Sprinkler must be on intended line of putt/shot.

RAKES AND PREFERRED LIES IN BUNKERS
No rakes in bunkers and preferred lies may be taken.

STONES IN BUNKERS
Stones in bunkers are loose impediments and may be removed – Rule 15.1a.

STEPS IN BUNKERS
Steps in bunkers are immovable obstructions – relief may be taken. Drop must be within bunker.

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. However, if during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance measuring device
that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions such as gradient, wind speed, temperature etc. the player is in breach of rule 14.3, for which the penalty is
disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

MOTORISED CARTS
During an honour-board competition, a player must not ride on any form of motorised transportation unless authorised by the General Manager. A medical certificate is required for authorisation due to health reasons.

  • Flags to be left in hole *while covid-safe guidelines apply*
  • When filling divots the sand is to be smoothed over, NOT mounded
  • Avoid slow play by keeping pace with the group in front
  • Low Marker is each group to ensure your group is moving quickly
  • No golf carts to be driven within 10 meters of the greens and/or bunkers
